But these same tools, if responsibly and documented whistle-blown, can become the strongest evidence against the architecture of suppression.
Why is Systemic Data Important?
Street videos and images are essential, but alone they're not enough. Bureaucratic data shows:
- Who, in what structure, with what position, and under which agency was active
- This data reduces the possibility of denial and shifts responsibility from the individual to the institution and the decision chain
What Types of Data Are Important?
Internal Agency Systems:
Personnel cards, face recognition-based time tracking, access control
Nationwide Systems:
Civil registration, passports, judiciary, banks, financial and biometric systems
Other Evidence:
Camera footage, logs, tables, identifiers, and any data that connects suppression to structure
Raw Whistleblowing is Not Enough
Hasty publication can:
- Endanger the security of victims and whistleblowers
- Provide the possibility of discrediting
- And even end up benefiting the government's propaganda machine
Real power is formed when data:
- Is multi-layer verified
- Is cross-referenced with field evidence
- And leads to structural accountability
